Privacy Policy

Overview

PDS MOOver performs migrations in your browser. All operations are client side; the server only serves the web pages and the OAuth client metadata document.

Information We May Receive

  • Nothing about your account. Your repo, blobs and preferences travel from your old PDS to your new PDS through your browser, never through our servers.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not collect or store any information about you or your account.
  • We never see the password of your current account: you sign in on your own PDS with atproto OAuth and approve the permissions there. The password you pick for the new account is only ever sent to the new PDS.
  • OAuth tokens for your current account are stored in your browser (IndexedDB) so a page refresh does not log you out. Signing out revokes them on your PDS and removes them. The login session for the new account is kept in your browser's local storage until the migration completes or you start over.

Retention

Server-side logs may be retained for a limited time for security, debugging, and rate-limiting. This is short term logging and kept no longer than 60 days.

Your Choices

You may choose not to use the service. If you proceed, ensure you have backups and understand the migration risks. You can revoke PDS MOOver's access to your account at any time from your PDS's account page.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Service Provider and Location

The site is hosted on Railway in a data center located in the US. We may change service providers in the future, if we do this policy will be updated to reflect that.
